Terms and Conditions for Otherside Oils

Welcome to Otherside Oils. By accessing or using our website, othersideoils.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a purchase or interacting with our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using this Site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, you may not access the website or use any services.

2. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site—including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, scent names, "Aether Note" descriptions, and imagery—is the exclusive property of Otherside Oils and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, duplicate, or exploit any portion of our intellectual property without express written permission from us.

3. Products and Pricing

Small-Batch Nature: Our oils are artisanal products. Subtle variations in color or scent may occur between batches, reflecting the unique nature of our blends.
Pricing: Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.
Availability: We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products we offer or to discontinue any product at any time.

4. Shipping and Delivery

We strive to process and ship your orders with care and efficiency.

Processing Time: Standard orders are processed within 1-2 business days.
Shipping Risk: Once a package is handed over to the carrier, the risk of loss and title for the item passes to you. We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier or incorrect shipping addresses provided by the customer.

5. Returns and Refunds

Due to the personal and hygienic nature of fragrance products:

Final Sale: All perfume oils and fragrances are final sale. We do not accept returns or exchanges unless the item arrives damaged.
Damaged Items: If your order arrives damaged, please contact us at alex@othersideoils.com within 48 hours of delivery with a photo of the damage so we can provide a replacement.

6. Accuracy of Billing and Account Information

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store. We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us.

7. Limitation of Liability

Otherside Oils shall not be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind arising from your use of any of our products. Our fragrances are for external use only. We recommend performing a "patch test" before full application to ensure skin compatibility.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Massachusetts, USA.

9. Changes to Terms and Conditions

You can review the most current version of the Terms and Conditions at any time on this page. We reserve the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms by posting updates to our website.

Return and Refund Policy

Refund & Return Policy for Otherside Oils

At Otherside Oils, we pour intention and care into every hand-blended essence. Because our products are artisanal and personal in nature, we have established the following guidelines for returns and refunds.

1. The Nature of Fragrance (Final Sale)

Due to the hand-blended nature of our oils and for reasons of hygiene and safety, all sales are final. * We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges based on personal scent preference.

We encourage our community to read the Aether Notes and descriptions carefully before completing a purchase.

2. Damaged or Defective Items

If your essence arrives in a condition that is less than luminous (damaged in transit or defective), we are committed to making it right.

Please inspect your order upon reception.
Contact us at alex@othersideoils.com within 48 hours of delivery.
Include your order number and a clear photograph of the damaged item and packaging.
Once verified, we will send a replacement of the original scent at no additional cost to you.

3. Lost or Stolen Packages

Once a package is marked as "Delivered" by the carrier (USPS, UPS, etc.), Otherside Oils is no longer responsible for the package.

If your tracking says delivered but you cannot find your parcel, please contact your local carrier office to file a claim.
We recommend shipping to a secure location to ensure your oils reach you safely.

4. Order Cancellations

If you have a change of heart, you may request a cancellation within 12 hours of placing your order, provided it has not yet been processed for shipping. Once a tracking number has been generated, the order can no longer be canceled.

5. Incorrect Items

In the rare event that the wrong "atmosphere" was sent to you, please notify us immediately. We will ship the correct item to you right away and provide a return label for the incorrect bottle.
